SiNGBOX

A brand identity project that brings the joy of singing to Vancouver’s nightlife.

Inspired by Korea’s karaoke culture, SiNGBOX was designed to introduce accessible and fun self-service karaoke booths in Canada. The goal was to make singing a casual, everyday activity — solo or with friends.

Through this project, I learned how to translate cultural insight into a visual identity that feels both local and global. It strengthened my understanding of how branding connects emotional experience and design clarity.

MY ROLE & PROCESS

1 / Market Research & Concept Development

Identified the lack of casual, affordable karaoke options in Vancouver and analyzed target audiences such as students, young professionals, and hobbyists.
Developed the brand concept emphasizing accessibility, self-expression, and fun.

2 / Brand Naming & Slogan

Created the name SiNGBOX, combining “Sing” (joy and freedom) with “Box” (personal space).
Crafted the slogan “Your Box, Your Stage” to capture the brand’s inclusive and creative spirit.

3 / Visual Identity Design

Built a neon-inspired pink + blue palette to represent inclusivity and energy.
Designed a logo featuring a microphone-shaped “i” within a square frame symbolizing a private booth.

4 / Typography & Layout

Chose 'Poppins' for its clean, modern aesthetic and established a consistent text hierarchy for all brand materials

5 / Brand Collateral

Produced business cards, posters, and letterheads to apply the visual identity across real-world contexts.
Developed digital mockups that reflect SiNGBOX’s energetic and approachable style.
